Nice.... A fun project.0

Wish I could be there to watch it all come together!
You may have mentioned this before...but what sign are you going to put on the side of the van?0 -
Gonna be one knockout for sure. That Pittsburg crew do know how to restore Hudsons. Keep up the great work, Dave. Hopefully we can get to Gettysburg in 2012 - I know you'll have it there in all it's glory. :woohoo:

Thank you, original target date set was for HET National in 2012. With Ken Schulte's help, it is going faster than expected. With some luck, we may beat projected date.0

Here are a few new pictures. Entire truck is in primer, engine is running, exhaust installed. Still on schedule for 2012 National in Gettysburg.

I for one am ESTATIC you used Acrylic lacquer.
THAT'S the correct look for these cars..not the "lipstick wet, plastic" look of urethane enamels.
What kind of primer did you use?
Great Work!0 -
Thank you. For base I used Dupont Vari Prime 615S self etching primer, sanded with 400, followed by Matrix High Build primer, PPG acrylic lacquer, wet sand with 600, 1000, 1500 and hand rub with Dupont#7 rubbing compound.rambos_ride wrote:I for one am ESTATIC you used Acrylic lacquer.
