Door handle guards
Does anyone know where you originaly purchased( and had installed) the stainless gaurds that many stepdown Hudsons have between the handle and body. I see two differant styles, a ribbed style and a flater slightly rectangular style. Did the dealer sell them? Is there a Hudson part #? Thanks to Victor Z for the gas tank guard part illustration &part #.

Dave, My 53 had flat rectangular on it, But never the less, Where is that part listed and what were they actually titled? I may need to verify this for judging. Thanks.0

I BOUGHT TWO SETS FROM EBAY A FEW YEARS AGO, THEY CAME IN ORGINAL BOXES. THE NAME ON THE BOX IS "STYLE-KING", NO. 106. IT SAYS IT FITS ALL HUDSONS, 1948--53, EXCEPT 53 JET.0

There was / is a guy selling 40 plus NOS sets of these on e-bay just a couple weeks ago. The box said fit Hudson and Studebaker. Very nice stainless pieces.... I'll see if I can find the ad.0

They are listed in Hudson accessory folder as door handle guards. We have them on both our AACA Senior and Grand National First Place car. The only time I was questioned was when we had our 49 coupe entered for senior judging. I showed judge folder and he said OK and thank you. We received senior at banquet that night. If you need copy of accessory folder, send me SASE.RonS wrote:Dave, My 53 had flat rectangular on it, But never the less, Where is that part listed and what were they actually titled? Yes, I heard back and he is out. I still would like to find a pair just like the ones he had.0
