According to the body manual you have to remove the back glass. Doesn't say to remove the windshield, just the interior trim mouldings.0

Yes, Geoff is correct, rear glass has to come out, but windshield stays in. When you take off the reveal mouldings you need to have about 4 sheet metal screws w/ washers handy to put back into the body to hld the w/s up so it doesn't fall back. I'm assuming that the w/s in a 54 is held in like the 48 to 53s.0

I bought the front and rear rubber seals for the front and rear windshield and backlite. Could I just cut the seals and remove the glass easy. Ray Thanks for your help.0

Back in the day we would break the back glass just to get a good window rubber. Now that they are being reproduced that is no longer necessary. A good exacto knife will cut the rubber. I did mine on the outside and then pushed the window onto some thick foam in the back. It was hanging about half way out and I removed it. Simple operation.0

Thanks for the reply. I will ask a friend that has a glass shop to
help me r&r the glass Ray0 -
I just did this with my 52 Hollywood. Lot's of soapy water in a spray bottle and a heavy cord will make life easier. One person inside pulling out the cord and another outside pushing (or beating!) the glass in with the palm of thier hand (remove your watch and rings....). Keep spraying the water on the rubber. We had it installed in short order.
