Russell asked me to post these pics for him. They show the current state of the body, which was currently primed.

I still can't post photos, so thank you, Michael for your help!

It's hard to believe that we just crossed over the 2000-man-hour mark on body work alone! But, FINALLY, the crud is gone and it looks like we're actually trying to build a car. Starting to do the finish bodywork now, like final blocking and prepping the body panels for primer. With any luck, it will be ready for upholstery in March with final completeness in time for Gettysburg.

For more info on the project, check out the link below my signature.

    Right on!!!!!!! :woohoo: Looks great.

As I said earlier, Russell, you get to hanging sheet metal and need a hand I'd love to come down and help out. Just make it in warmer weather so I don't get sick like I did last Thanksgiving!!!!

Doesn't look like you could have taken one more piece off, looks like you are at the point that it all starts to go back on. Nice work Russell.

Yeah, that's about as close as you can get to a frame off restoration on a stepdown Hudson! Looks like yer gonna wind up with a heck of a nice car!

Thanks for all the positive comments.

    Marconi-

Are you referring to it's current state? Because this car, in the not too distant past had no cowl and no back deck and no floor pans.
  • Looks great Russell! A lot more car then the last time I saw pictures!
