valve seals?
starting to put the 37 Terraplane engine back together and have a question- part of the valves had what looks like to me, valve seals (a seal and small spring) and some didn't. I can't find mention of a valve seal in the parts book but assume they had some type of seal to keep oil down below the head ?? The seals are not in the master gasket set I have.

Back in the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's these were sold to stop oil coming up through the intake valves. They worked on all valve in block engines. Sets were also sold for overhead valves. Walt.0
