Did Later Hudsons (55-57) have 12V systems?

Or were they always 6V only?

    In 1956 American cars went to 12 volt negative Grd as standard, along with the AMC built Hudson.

    56 and 57 12 volt neg. ground. They were delco systems. 55 dont know. Didnt pay much attention to those made after 54

    1955 AMC Hudsons were 6 volt (off the top of my head) using Auto-Lite; 1956 went to 12 volt, Wasp Series 40 and Hornet 6 Series 60 and Hornet V-8 Series 80 used Auto-Lite while Hornet V-8 Series 50 used Delco. 1957 used Delco-Remy.
