I have a dealership sign from Hencir motors Inc. Would like to know were it was located. The sign was found in Minnesota near the Twin Cities. Hope someone has some knowledge of this dealership.

We have a 1959 Minneapolis, MN telephone book sitting on a bookshelf, so I checked the yellow pages section and found the listing under Rambler Sales & Service: Hencir Motors, Inc., 2616 West Broadway, Minneapolis, MN. Telephone JAksn 2-3349. The only Hudson listing was for a dealer on Lyndale Avenue South. Bill0

Thank you much for looking in that phone book By 1959 a lot of the Hudson dealerships had started selling Ramblers. That's who Hudson merged with. Anyway thanks for the info !!

O K Here goes a try with a photo. Cool Hudson history.0

That's a cool sign! They were in business as a Hudson dealership per this 1948 pamphlet.

That pamphlet is so neat !! Would you be interested in selling it. It would make a nice addition to the sigh for display. I thought I saw that pamphlet selling on E Bay from Spain. Are you the one who bought it ?? Thanks Sara for listing it !!

I swiped the pictures off that auction for my dealership website.
Here's the rest of the brochure... 0 -
My '50 Commodore was from Hencir Motors In North Minneapolis. They later merged and became Hencir-Nicholls and went on to sell American Motors Products for a while. I can recall buying Hudsonite from them.0

Hudson308 wrote:While talking with Hornet Special about this last week, he shared an invoice from a dealership called "Hudson Minneapolis, Inc" was located at 1412 Harmon Place in downtown Minneapolis. I've been hoping to find the location of that dealership since spotting this trunk badge on a '51 Wasp coupe rotting away in the woods in central Minnesota.
I have a 1937 photo on my website of the O'Donnel Motor Company at 1416-1420 Harmon Place showing Terraplanes ready to be delivered to the St. Paul Police Dept. This section of street was long ago demolished to become part of the campus for Minneapolis Community & Technical College.

I have an invoice thst is from Hudson Minneapolis Inc at 1416- 1420 Harmon Place.
Maybe they changed dealerships names. This is from 1949. I did a satellite search on location. It did not look like it was part of the U of M. Mystery!!

Sarah, I think maybe the Hudson Sales Corp. 4100 Washington Ave might have been overtaken by U of M. 1416-1420 Harmon Place is down town. Possibly you have names at wrong addresses on dealerships??0

Sure do wish the science weenies would hurry up and perfect the holo-deck (from Star Trek) - then we could replicate these old dealerships, walk thru them, even buy and sell Hudsons, just like they did back-in-the-day!!!!!!!!

I don't know any history on the U of M campus. I never mentioned that.0 -
It seems that the Hudson Sales Corp building at 4100 Washington Ave. N. is now home to Industrial Lumber and Supply.
