No fit-up problems?

Yep,Got mine from Bob Robison on ebay.. Mine worked great on the 49. Tinted a light green. Fit perfectly and not thinner as I had seen posted somewhere. He also said had complete glass kits for the doors at a reasonable price.I never ordered any since most of my other glass was serviceable I wrote him recently looking for vent window glass but didn't get a reply. There is another similar name glass company posted on Dave S's site. I wrote to him about the vent glass and he said he had "no flat glass". One of the shortest emails I ever recieved.

I used Bob's Classic Auto glass for my 49 Brougham. No problems at all. I called and had a nice talk with him about Hudsons. Yes he is one of us!

Don't hate me for asking this but does anyone know if Bobs does custom glass work?

I'm not chopping my top or anything but I would like to take out the front wing window and use a 1 piece glass. I have seen other Hudsons like this and know it just takes a glass kiln and pattern to bend the flat glass (boy I make it sound easy... )

But I really like the green tint glass Bobs sells and plan to buy the set when it's time - I'm just not far enough along to pull the trigger on glass yet.
  • Check your local auto glass distributor. I work for one that sells ppg and carlite glass. We can still get windshields for stepdowns in clear or green shade.
  • SuperDave i know this post is old, but if you are still looking for vent glass go to www.classicflatglass.com . you can look your car up and buy your glass online or call them.
