1947 Commodore 8 wirirng harness

Does anyone have a more detailed wiring diagram for a 1947 model more specifically a C8 sedan with drivemaster and basically ALL the accessories.
I have a shop manual but it covers '42 - '47 generally and doesn't even say what the wire gauge sizes used were. Plus some of the terminals on the 2-fuse fuse block don't even show up. If someone has a more detailed 1947 diagram it would help a lot.
If someone ever ordered a pre-made harness for this car and still has the drawings it would also help.
Between this and the 1950 one I got worked out I hope to be able to wire up both cars and order all supplies at the same time.
Thanks.

Aaron.... I scanned the diagrams and sent them to your email address a few minutes ago.

Hi Aaron, You are right, the wiring digram in the service manual stinks..doesnt say guage of wire, doesnt have all terminals, colors and tracers are vague. I made up my own wiring harness for a 46 C8 cvt. last winter, I used the old harness to lay out the new one, most wire was 14 and 16 ga. with the feeds 12 ga.. I ordered the wire from Rhode Island Wiring. in colors to match old harness. made up all harnesses including o.d. {but no drive master] sent the harness back to RI and they wove the cloth loom on..I put the terminals on after it returned..They did a great job with fast service..It looks great, but I spent probably close to 60 hours building it. Just order a harness from YnZ's Yesterday's Parts and save yourself a lot of trouble. Just tell them what extra's are on the car, and a complete instruction sheet comes with and by color code and number to where each wire goes Phone- 909-798-1498 They are in Redlands, CA. Walt.0

Walt..I used Y and Z for a complete harness on a 41 Chrysler cvt. and I wound up doing LOTS of alterations to make it fit right. Also the terminals they used were rather cheapy...Since I have made my own harnesses, time consuming, but I enjoy doing it and you can save lots of money. RD0

That is precisely the reason I did not buy a pre-made harness. It's $600-$1000 and may not account for all the options added to the car or that will be added. But if anyone has ordered a harness before and still has the drawings which might be better than the '46-'47 drawings in the shop manual and would be willing to scan me a copy I'd be grateful for the help. The originals are not even as good as the diagrams done during the step-down era.0

To each his own. I've used their harness in 2 53 Hudsons and never had any problems. I just told them I was going 12 volts with an alternator, and it came wired for it. Walt.0

We've installed many Y'n Z harnesses over the years and only had a few problems with any of them. Seems like the first one they make for a particular car and body style has a few problems with some of the wire lengths and some times where the wires are routed, but all it takes is a phone call to Gene and let him know what the problem (s) are and it gets straightened out for the second one. We usually just make the modifications ourselves and let them know. I like the fact that they let the wires run long and just give us a bag with all the terminals, etc in it. That way wires don't wind up too short which can create a real problem. As far as the terminals supplied, I've yet to see a 'cheesy' terminal. I've gotten them from several different sources and they're all the same! The only thing I've ever seen that looks cheesy is when someone gets the terminals with the plastic sleeve on them, just crimps the wires on and leaves the plastic sleeves on them, that really makes a wiring job look bad.0
