36 Hudson coupe.

Not positive about 36, but 37s used the same body for both cars. Difference was the front fenders sat further forward on the body so the Hudson had a filler panel welded in between the runningboard/fender, and the opening for the hood, kind of a triangular shaped piece, otherwise you could look into the engine bay and see the front body mount, part of the steering col. etc.0

The difference between the '36T body and the '36H body is in the cowl, it is longer by about 4" and of course the hood because the Hudson needed to accomodate the 8 cylinder engine. So doors, trunk most body parts are interchangeable, but the actual body is not due to the longer cowl! I believe that I am correct on this. I own a '36T and I have looked at a lot of '36 Hudsons and Terraplanes - nicest looking car Hudson ever produced! Just my opinion.0

I thought that the extra length was in the front fenders which are about four inches longer. I did not realise that the cowl was longer. Trevor0

Bear in mind that I am only talking about the coupe.

Body parts book shows relevant cowl panels are the same for all models, Hudson and Terraplane. The differences in length are all from the firewall forward ... hood panels, different fenders, longer front part of frame, etc.0

Thanks that appears to confirm what I thought.
Are you able to tell me where I can find those details I do have a parts book that covers the relevant years but could not locate the details.

Trevor, the info comes from the 1930-'39 master Body Parts Book, companion to the Master Chassis Parts Book you probably have.0

Thanks that will be my homework after dinner this evening in front of the fire.0
