Do I Have The Last 1934 Hudson LTS Brougham ?

My car used to belong to Norris Smith. It's a 1934 Hudson 8 LTS (also known as "The Challenger") Brougham/Coach. He maintained it was the only one left.
The LTS series were entry level Hudsons in 1934. Mine has no vent windows in the doors, only 3 doors on each side of the hood, no woodgraining in the interior and Terraplane-type lights. All this was presumably to keep the price down.
I think Jim Digiorgio has only 4 1934 Hudson 8 Broughams/Coaches in his register and, apart from mine, I think they're all de luxe cars.
Is mine the only surviving LTS 2-door, I wonder ???

I don't know, although I'm relatively certain I've seen another pictured somewhere on the internet.
Would say this though; there was a time forty years ago when the members of HET thought there were only a couple handfuls of '46-47 pickups left. What would you guess today?.... 2000?
My experience in the hobby is that as soon as something is believed to be rare, they will start showing up, including some guy somewhere who has half a dozen of the exact "rare" model.
You just may have started something by asking.
At the time Norris bought the brougham, I lived not far from him in N. Illinois. He greatly influenced my appreciation for the 1934 Hudson line up contributing ultimately to my ownership of a '34 T Cv Cp today. Miss that old character.0 -
You're right, Norris was some guy. I miss the long, newsy letters he regularly used to send me. He was bemused that someone from as far away as England wanted to buy one of his cars.
Looking at Hudson serial numbers, it seems that probably only a few hundred LTS Challenger Broughams were built in the first place.0
