Need Hash hood springs

I need a new set of hood springs for my 55 Hornet. Does anyone have a source for these? Mine were gradually getting weaker and the other day one fell off while going to a cruise night.

    Harry, I think you're gonna havta go to a large/industrial hardware store and try to match them up. Don't know of any source for them except used off another car and they're gonna be almost as weak as the ones you have now.

    Just had a thought(boy, that's rare) check with some of the AMC parts suppliers. Rambler springs till about 62, except Americans, may work as the larger Ramblers were modified versions of the 55 to 7 Nash/Hudson body shell.

    thanks, thats a good idea, the Rambler springs may do the trick if I can find someone selling hood springs for the early 60's ramblers
