Rebuilding 34 Terraplane engine
I need a recomendation for a shop to rebuild my 34 Terraplane motor. Original one got hot & cracked the block in 5 spots. I have a good motor that needs rebuilt. The main bearings need rebabbited. In SW Florida, any recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeremy

Do you have the engine apart? How are the rod bearings?0

How did this work out? I'm just finishing up on the same sort of deal in California on my 34T coupe - car is supposed to be done next week (18 - 22 JUL). It got too hot and cracked the block; I got a thicker-walled 36 engine to rebuild for it, but when they took it apart, it was worse than my original 34. They pinned, welded, etc., etc. and resurrected (I hope) the original 34 block. We'll see how it came out.0

Did you mean to ask "How is the babbitt in the connecting rods?"0
