D.C Doc Daugherty Memorial Award recipient
This years D.C Doc Daugherty Memorial Award recipient has owned three Hudsons during his lifetime but currently does not own a Hudson built automobile. But his impact on our club has not come through his restoration activities. It has come through his service to the Club. For over 30 years, this year’s recipient has worked to document year by year records of serial numbers, body styles, standard equipment and production figures culminating in his HET General Information Handbook. In the past 7 years, he has scanned manuals, bulletins, reference materials and sales material and making those materials available to club members on line. It is estimated that he has scanned 800-900 documents. His efforts have supported not only the HET Club but also the Historical Society. This individual has also represented the Club online since the establishment of the Hudson chat site. His presences continues on the Hudson Forum and his online voice consistently points those with Hudsons and Hudson questions to join our great club. As one of the many who have found his online library to be of immeasurable help in restoring and maintaining my Hudsons, it is my pleasure to announce this year’s D.C. Doc Daugherty Memorial Award winner, Alex Burr (Hudsontech).

Congratulations Alex,
A well deserved award. You've done a wonderful job saving all the Hudson information that members will be using for years to come. Now if we can just get you to post a new non- blurry Avatar.0 -

From what I have read over the years and heard, the resources Alex has accmulated are a gold mine for any HET member.
Well done Alex, the award could not have gone to a better recipient!0 -
I first got to know Alex shortly after I joined the H-E-T back in '71, and have enjoyed knowing him ever since. As long-time newsletter editor for the New England Chapter he performed a great service to local Hudsonites, and his occasional articles to the WTN were appreciated on a wider scale.
But in recent years he has really gone all-out to help Hudsonites the world over by obtaining and scanning all sorts of Hudson literature -- both sales and technical. The Club chose this year's "Doc award" recipient wisely, and Alex deserves our undying gratitude for making this invaluable information available to all Hudson enthusiasts everywhere, at the click of a mouse button! Congratulations, "Aunt Hester", be proud of your justly-deserved honors!0 -
Great Choice. Alex certainly has done a lot for our club. Every year the club finds a well deserving member to present this award too.0
