Help ID these parts?

I'm looking for help to ID these parts, I'm sure somebody needs them worse than my dad. They have been garage art for far to long. Planning on listing in the next WTN...

The grill is NOS, the wheel is used but solid and appears straight. It measures about 24" OD on the steel.

Thanks,
Matt

That was quick! There is a ton to learn about these, every time I deal with these parts I learn a bit more.

    Thanks.

Geoff, I too think that grill is '24 Essex. But isnt' that wheel newer? Like '27 or so? ...Maybe?

I compared the wheel to my dads 27, and it is definatley different, larger OD If I remember right. It has a "Hudson" center cap.

Looking closer at the wheel, you are correct, it is not Essex 6, but a Hudson wheel from around 1922 or earlier. These were 24" diameter. I assumed the radiator and wheel were off the same car, but this is obviously not so. The Essex 4 wheels were also 24", but the hub caps are smaller.

Ok, so those parts are identified. The wood in that wheel looks pretty good too.

So how about these wheels. I thought they were '24 Essex, only 16"!

    What do you think?:)

The grill is NOS - so never was on a car :) The wood on the wheel is very solid. I'm hoping to find someone that needs it for their car, they can't be too easy to find.

My guess on the 14-spoke wheels is that they have been adapted to fit a 1927 or '28 Essex hub. These wood wheels were an optional extra on the '35 Hudson 8 l.w.b. cars, but were 5 stud bolt-ons originally.
