:cheer: A collector here in Carson City, Nevada is going to Auction off around 200 Cars between August 25 and August 28 at the Silver Oaks Golf Couse in Carson City, Nevada. Among his many cars are several Hudsons, mostly step downs, including some covertibles.I did go through his collection once and the Hudsons that he had were very nice. I am not sure where he is advertising the auction, but go online and look up the Nevada Appeal newspaper for tuesday August 2, 2011. I will try to find more info if any one is interested. A couple minutes of intense Googling turned up the list of cars:

The 48 Convertible has a Super serial number, not Commodore. Lots of Commodore trim...like I did my four door. crank up windows, later steering wheel,308, Twin H, Vinyl interior etc. Nice fun car.. Wonder what it will bring?:huh:0

You all probably know this, but if you click on "make" at the top of the auction list it resorts itself into alpha by make. Easier to find the good stuff. That's not a bad looking pickup. Wonder why it dosen't have a battery?

I just perused the list. There's a "few" there I would like to have. Imagine, many of them weren't even Hudsons! :woohoo:
One of the cool stories was about a '48 Buick Roadmaster with 319 original miles. Widow stopped driving the car because she was losing her sight, so the car sat in the garage for 45 years . . . those finds are getting rarer by the day. I'm sure that one will go for a pretty penny.0 -

Saw that. Reminded me of being just out of high school on a warm Saturday afternoon and headed out to the old warehouse some buddies and I rented for our hot rods to get
my 57 Chevy sedan delivery ready for the drags Sunday. That was the first time I saw that shiny black 48 Buick,up on ramps and blocking the door.
It wasn't until
I inquired to the feet and coveralls sticking out from underneath a fender about how
long this was going to be blocking the door that those feet and coveralls rolled out
from underneath the car and asked (no thats wrong) TOLD me to get HER a short 1/2"
extension. Now at this point my teen angst was pinballing in every direction. Now
here's the prettiest girl I've ever seen lying on her back,on a creeper, with coveralls on and a shiny ratchet in her greasy paws.... I don't think I said a word,
I just retrieved the extension from the tool box and touched her greasy hand in the
exchange. I was in love...
Lol,the stories I could tell of that yellow Chevy and black Buick and our times together. Oh,and by the way these cars weren't a common sight in our neck
of Ohio in 1979.:)0 -

Way to leave us hangin', there, RL- So I'm guessing the "rest. . . of the story" is not "and 3 kids and 5 grandkids later, I still think she's the prettiest girl I ever saw."0 -
Oops, sorry that was my story... And she was only the prettiest one I had met up
until that time. I married the "prettiest girl ever" years later and not the same
one.0
