engine progress

Making progress on the engine, got the fuel line bent correctly first time! Hope to pressurize the fuel system today and see if rebuilt carbs are ok and therre are no leaks :unsure:

    Seems a shame to cover up something that pretty with a hood!
  • Do you plan to use the heat shields below the carbs? Just wondering, I drove mind for a couple of months before the hot weather without the shields. Looks very nice, good job, Thanks, Bob
  • Do not exceed 4 pounds, as that is all Hudson's carbs are built for. Walt.

    The pressurizing was successfull, after the rear carb float finally seated. The accelorator pumps squirt gas. Interestingly, the engine is a '56 and the carbs are 968S series. The electric pump produces 3 psi, so the carbs should be happy. The balancer is a GM product, the builder had to machine the crank a bit for it to fit. He assures me that it is far superior to the Hudson and now I can time it with a light.
