B) I see p;enty of 51 to 54 Hudson models, all coupes and a couple convertibles. My question, why not models of the '48-49 sedans, coupes and convertables? They did have a role in changing car design. Arnie in Nevada.

There was some '48-'49 models made. I have a mini diecast one and then also a larger one of the Durham limo. I think there was one company that also made a Super 6 Brougham.

Is there a die cast or kit model of the Essex Terraplane 8 1933 ?

For some cars you just can't find miniatures... like Eldorado Northstar as an example...

Yeah you would think for all the years people have made models that by now there would be a model, plastic, diecast or otherwise, for just about every Classic American car ever made but that's not the case. From what I've been told putting any model into production is very expensive. Maybe that will change with the 3-D scanning / printing technology mentioned in another thread on this forum.
  • I like all of those models shown but at $299 per car I can add up the cars I want and use that money to buy a real Hudson LOL

    Still really nice models

I have one of the factory plastic models, a Dinky '48-9 sedan (made in England), and had a very rare Railton which I bought in England but can't find right now.
Also have one of the '51 Hornet coupes, metal, modeled after Teague' #6.

Aaron hit the nail on the head - producers of these models are not going to tool up for a marginal offering. Hudson is very marginal. However, that said, during the 50th anniversary year, despite a downplaying of Hudson's role, the series of Hudson stock cars were brought out.

It's a matter of supply and demand - no, or little, demand = no supply.
