i'm gonna be doing a engine swap with a newer motor & tranny,[don't have a stock set up]i'm thinking the stock rear will be to steep for modern engine-tranny's,Press Kemp said he used a 67 ford, didn't which one or make.so i was also told ''Lincoln versailles 9" is almost perfect fit with disk brakes. Ford Granada also works well, but not as beefy.'' but i'm having trouble with finding them also,SO which others should i be looking for?
THANKS for any & all help-info.***chuck

You could just make the bolt-in swap with a '52-'54 Hudson axle. It's a Dana 44, with a wide range of ratios available. They've been used in several recent cars, including both Ford and Chevy, so it's not hard to find a shop where they have the knowledge and tools to change out the gears.
  • I agree with Park, the 52-54 Dana 44 would be excellent. But if You are wanting a Ford rear end, A lot of the Granadas had 9 inch rears. Especially the ones with the 302 small block and many of them came with 300 ci sixes and also usd the 9 in rear.
