Forsale: 1948 Hudson Commodre Sedan

Also had this at the local show aswell. I've lost my storage and just had it buffed out. I've decide to offer it up here first prior to listing it elsewhere. This is an ORIGINAL paint AND INTERIOR late production 1948 Hudson Commodore. I dare say that the interior of this car has to be one of the finest orignal Hudson interiors existing.

I bought this car years ago from the estate of the original owner. He got the car brand new as a gift for his high school graduation...in 1948. He put on the accessories as a teenager. It was his pride and joy until he past away. I believe the odometer reads 132,000 original.

Original untouched chrome with no pitting. Original paint still holds a shine but it IS 63 years old. Worst part is some cracking and flaking on the hood.

Mechanically, the car rides like a new car, no kidding. It has had the basics done like new shocks, brakes, etc. The engine runs out well, is smooth and quiet but needs the front and rear seals replaced as it leaks oil. I just keep her filled and drive away. Has the three speed manual with working overdrive. Also has the drive master option (used to work perfectly but never took the time to check out the issue).

I'm looking for solid cash offers. Will sell it for a fair price on a car of this stature. Have more pics avail. e-mail: XXXnptelcel@aol.com (drop the XXX's)(three one zero) 502- 5335 Thanks, Niels

Sorry to see you have decided to sell her, Niels. Wish I could take advantage of it!:) Hope she goes to a good home.
  • Niels, any ideas what you are asking?

Was Hudson the first to use Foam in place of seat springs? Or was both used?
    Very nice Hudson!

Foam was on top of the springs
  • I smile when I see the add on doodads on this car. I enjoy them. Reminds me of what I did to my '50 Ford in high school.
Question is, will these items take some value away from the car or will they actually add value?..slim
