Drivemaster Supermatic vacuum diaphragms
I am looking into having some of the diaphragms made to restore the Drivemaster unit on the 50 Commodore back to working condition.
Would anyone be interested in puchasing any if I have extras made? I know the next question would be cost and that will vary depending on how many.
Any other suggestions for the rubber diaphragms inside the cannisters?
How important is it for any of you to have a working Supermatic Drivemaster?
I'm not looking to make money on this endeavor but if there are people out there who need these, well here is an opportunity.

Have you tried contacting some of the Hudson parts vendors (such as those who advertise in the WTN)? There used to be a lot of these diaphragms that would show up at parts meets, NOS. Since (apparently) not that many people are rebuilding their Drive Masters, they may still be around. It would be a shame to go into production, making new ones, if there were still some to be had at a cheaper price.0

I have a Hudson one.$20.00 plus $5.90 shipping.
Thanks Roy

Wow at $98 for a diaphragm from MEtro it better be made out of gold, well silver anyway. I think I paid $5 for the last one I bought.0

If you could find an outfit that would make them cheaper than Metro then I'd be willing to buy a set. I know a lot of guys over the years have disconnected their drive master setups and some have said to me it's not even worth it to get them working. But to me its part of history and Hudson engineering and I think its worth preserving and having one that works the way intended.0

Thanks for the info that Metro has these diaphragms. I delegated an employee who used to have his own restoration shop to see if he could locate them and he failed to look at the obvious. $98 is a reasobale price and I'll just order from them.
Thank you all so much. I've gone back to doing the locating myself.
