1952 Commodore 8 how many left?

A friend bought me some pics of a '52 Commodore 8 4 dr sitting outside, up in northern NY. Looked to be pretty complete, interior tattered and some rust, but looked very restorable. I know they made a little over 3,000 of these, does anyone know about how many remain or are in the HET club? Thanks!

    -I'm not sure how many are left in total. But there appear to be about 25 1952,s floatin around They are rare but not too rare. The rare thing is finding a restored one

    I made one out of a Hornet (The Hornadore) and ran it for 2 years while rebuilding the 308. Left the Hornet logos on and confused some people.

    Just remove the sheet metal filler in front of the radiator, rotate the rad brackets 180 deg which moves the rad 2 inches forward which accomodates the 8 which is 2 inches longer than the 6. Re-route the fuel line and exhaust and ya got one.

    According to my research there were 3,125 Commodore 8's produced in 1952. So, taking a WAG and saying that maybe 10% survive that makes around 300 still around.

    That figuer is, however, rather conservative - off the top of my head I'd say there are maybe 5%, or around 150, still around somewhere or other. And even that is probably to high - more like 50 to 75 hidden away here and there.

    Across the automotive board, the typical figure is 3%. That equates to 94 cars based on Alex's figures.

    I've found though, that depending on desirability, that percentage can range anywhere from 2% to around 8 or 9%.

    Typically, I've found that Hudsons, in particular have a much lower survival rate than a lot of other makes.

    My "best guess", is that there are probably 50-60 '52C8's still out there.

    As of the 2007 HET roster there are 12 1952 Commodore 8 sedans in the HET club. Probably more outside the club or more unrecorded ones.
