Stepdown Sun Visor - Reference Picture

I'm looking for a side view that shows a good picture of the sun visor mounted on a stepdown. I have several pictures but none directly from the side where the mounting is in a position I would call "normal"
With the pictures of cars I have the owners have mounted the visors turned up too much (I'm sure to get more viewing area out the front) - I'd like a picture from the side with the mounting of the visor level or lower.
This picture is about the best side view I have but is 1) too small and 2) shows the slightly up-turned look that I don't think isn't correct (some others have them turned up even more)
I talked with the guy who did the Commodore line drawings and want to add the visor and bumpers back to the drawing and a good picture is all he needs.
Thanks for any help!

Take a look at this Wasp on my site http://www.hudsonmotorcar.org/coppermine/displayimage/album=7/pos=15.html
Might be good enough to show you.0 -
I do see them mounted in all different positions, often way low or pointing too far up or down. I mounted mine so the side bracket is just below where the gutter starts to curve. The most important thing is to adjust the side and center brackets to get the correct angle. After a lot of trial and error, you can make the visor look like it flows with the line of the roof. Again, its really a judgement call. I'd love to see the actual installation instructions or if there is a templete or measurments on where it really belongs.0

I was told there's two schools of thought on mounting the visor.
1. you mount it so the front leading edge is level in line of sight with the top of the windshield.
2. You mount it so it's as close as possible to following the curve of the roof.
Of course your radio antenna is a consideration and you should be able to stil move it. Some guys I know just leave the radio antenna up all the time and don't care.0 -
From the 'Karvisor' installation sheet.
Positon rear edge of Karvisor approximately 1 1/4 to rear of upper edge of windsheild.
Check distance from bottom of drip moulding to insure that both brackets have been installed at same height (approx 10 1/2 in)
Adjust front edge of 'Karvisor' to desired height (approx 10 1/2 in ) above hood of car.
The radio antenna can be rotated about 90 deg before it hits the visor.
This instruction sheet came with the repro brackets from Ken Amman. Like so...

Ken makes repro side mounts? If so cool - because I bought a fiberglass visor and a metal one but have only 1 set of mounts!
I'm keeping the metal one and maybe someone wants a fiberglass one?
Thanks all for the pics! That should help me out.0 -
Dan, I think the visor should match the curve of the roof, and the heck with visibility. I've tried to do this with the visor on my coupe, and find no problem with visibility, ( but I do have a traffic light viewer mounted in the original hole on the dash.
I fully agree with you that some visors look awfull when they are "tipped" upward like the beak of a cap in a strong headwind. Come to think of it, maybe this would put quite a strain on the visor at 70 mph.
I had a cheap one on the first '53 I owned that was there when I bought it. That thing flapped in the breeze like it was going to take a flight all its own. Hated it !!
The one on this car sets there like its welded on at any speed.
Here's the best picture I have at the present time.

Ooops -- can't seem to get the picture small enough to upload for some reason. The car is pictured on my website, www.hudsoncollector.com so maybe what I'm trying to portray will sort of show there. Meantime, I'll see if I can get a better angle and post it here somehow.
