H-E-T Club online library

WHAT TO YOU HAVE IN YOUR FILES THAT SHOULD BE COPIED AND PLACED IN THE H-E-T CLUB LIBRARY???????????
As most of you know I am slowly building an online library for the H-E-T club and we are making progress. Being on a fixed income, and little of it, makes it difficult to purchase materials, however.
Therefore I'm asking y'all to go thru your collections and loan material for the library. A bulletin, for example, may be nice to have, but perhaps some fellow H-E-T'er could benefit by having access to that bulletin.
I realize there is also the hesitation that "If I loan it for the online library and later want to sell it, whose going to buy it when they can get it from free online". That's a fallacy - most collectors, such as yourself, want original paper.
Another concern is certainly the possiblity of loss in the postal system. So far I have not lost anything and I've had materials sent from all over the country over the past few years. Even shipping Media Mail to save costs has proven safe.
If you haven't visited the club's online library (I say "clubs" because I have given it to the club) you should do so if only to get an idea of what is available. It is available at: http://hetclub.org/burr/lithomepage.htm As I stated in a recent WTN this online library does NOT take the place of the library maintained by John O'halloran - it is a supplement. We are working with John to get material from that library and with Dave Kava to get materials from the Hudson Historical Society that can be added.
The only restriction I have is, when it comes to manuals, I can't do much over 50 or 60 pages. If I can't lay it flat I can't scan it properly. This pretty much eliminates shop manuals and parts catalogs. The ones online were either ones that I purchased when I had a little extra cash or were taken apart with permission of the owner. Those that I did take apart, with the owners permission, were later 3-hole punched and put in 3-ring binders. Which actually makes it easier to work with.
Hoping y'all will help build this resource and thanks for viewing this post.

Just bumping this up in hopes of contributors for the library. Literature contributors accomplish at least two things - an online depository of Hudson and Hudson related material and, even more important, material that will help your fellow HET'ers maintain and restore their Hudson products.

I won't forget my promise, I have some family at home right now but will scan soon !
Have a nice day !0 -
Absolutely amazing - 345 people have looked at this post, and only two people have literature to share. I would have thought there was more literature out there. There have been others who have shared, but not many, and to those who have we are grateful, as are those who have been able to access what has been put on line.
