Bob's radio in Oceano, CA. He did mine for my '53 and it even has inputs for a mp3 player, but it is not cheap.

Punch in Redi-Rad in your computer and watch a couple of short videos, no modifications necessary and cost is $100.00 to $150.00! These work very well as I have installed them.0

Steve, just to refresh my memory -- this is a gizmo that you wire into your existing radio (or plug through the antenna?) which essentially either tunes in FM (through a dial on the gizmo, not the radio) and makes it possible to plug in MP3, ipod and all that other useless modern garbage, right? It's NOT something that goes into the existing radio receiver and allows you to turn the Hudson radio dial and tune in the dulcet tones of frequency modulation?0

That's right, sort of , on. You o not tune anything on the "gizmo". You have to plug in a portable F.M. tuner/radio and tune it for F.M.0

The owner was the radio tech adviser for the Hudson club. They are the manufacturer of most of the kits used by the other dealers. They also do the work in house.
I used them to put an FM converter in my 49 radio. This involved putting a gizmo... as Jon called it... into the radio. I left the tube radio in tact. You quickly turn the radio off an on and a red indicator turners on in the dial face. Then you have FM. Nothing looks any different than the stock radio and you still have your old, quality tube radio.
They can also fix the original radio so it now works.
Hope this helps0 -
They don't do it that way anymore, they "gut" your radio only saving the tuner and volume control and then replace everything else with a "board". The ones I've heard don't seem to work very well and your radio is destroyed in the process.0
