    Great looking Coupe!!
I was a little surprised not to see suicide doors. I thought that all Essexs had them. My 28 E Coupes do as does my friends 29 E Coupe & I have pics of a (US) prize winning 32 Essex coupe with suicide doors. Were both front & rear hinged doors available? Butler's book shows both in 31 & 32 even on the same body configuration.

All 1930 and '31 Hudson and Essex had rear opening front doors, then strangely they went back to front opening for 1932 thru '36 models, and thence from '37 onwards all front doors were rear opening. All rear doors were front opening up to and including 1947, and from the Step-down era onwards all doors were rear opening. In 55 years driving my '28 Essex I have never had a door come open, but in mini-skirt days the front opening doors were a challenge for female passengers!
