I just found the "new" PDF creator button in the lower right corner of a message thread.

WOW!!!! Great addition!! I just made a PDF of the Radio Antenna Removal thread to save on my PC and pring out to put in the Tips & Techniques Binder.

I do not know how long this has been available but it is good to have.

That is neat - I've noticed it, but paid it no attention. And it is a great way to save tech tips, such as Les Pendelbury's fitting later model fiber timing gears to earlier engines.

Not sure how you did your save Pacemaker 500, but I'll probably convert the page to Word, then clean up the parts not needed and save back to PDF.

  • I left it as it was.

I just thought it was such a great addition that I am not worried about cleaning up the results.

I'd like to try that. You say lower right of a message thread? Where is the "PDF" button, I don't see it?

It is the Adobe logo. It looks like a red triangle with open center.

Ok, I see it now. Didn't know what I was looking for.

So does this save the page your on, or the entire thread? If I put this in "documents" will the pictures still stay there? Or do I save it to "pictures"?

The pdf I made did not save the pictures. My work around was to do as Alex suggested & turn the pdf into a "Word" document & then insert the saved pics separately. I then turned the Word document back into a pdf/ I also cleaned up the doc prior to turning it back into a pdf altho is wasn't necessary but looks nicer.
It makes no difference where you save the finished file (either as a MS Word doc or a pdf) so long as you remember "where you hid it" :P :P

I can't open the adobe icon. I had this problem last march & someone fixed it but now it is happening again. The adobe icon will not open for me. The person who fixed it said it had something to do with the fact that I'm using window internet explorer. If some one can fix it again I would greatly appreciate it 'cuz it is a graet way to print out threads that you want to save.

    regards
