'47 Super Six

I have been in communication with the guy for the last few days. From what I gather,he is trying to solicit an ebay bid and shop it to a local limo service who has shown interest in converting it to a modern drive train wedding hauler. I was interested until I found out that any inspection I pay for or any bid I make could be trumped by a non-competitive bidder at any time! I wished him lots of luck.

On another note, I helped a friend out at the Leake Auto Auction in Dallas this past weekend. My wife had me bid on a no-reserve auction of a 1948 Commodore 6 that was supposedly used in the movie "Driving Miss Dasey" for exterior shots. Provenance was a little thin, but what a great car,restored to the nines! It blew past me pretty quick, but sold for only $14,000. Things is not what they used to be!
