You shouldn't have any trouble getting them over there Doug, but, if you do I have some here in Oz.0

I still have lots of bits/parts for sale and complete unit as well. Let me know if you are still interested. What's your phone number? r.lugosltd(at)gmail.com0

Doug,..........Still can't post to comcast.????
Small problem, when I got the dash panels down from the top shelf, all were speedo side only, have several of these, let me know if you still want it.
The cost is postage only.
I am thinning out my parts store as there is not much demand here anymore, I have new brake drums, axle shafts, new pre stepdown gearbox gears, king pins only for 37-39,plenty of king pin bushes 34-36, reprint mechanical manuals mostly stepdown, I could go on and on.

Doug,
One other problem maybe, the glass is different from LHD to RHD, the fuel and temp gauges are opposite from RHD to LHD, just did a check on my '42.

Doug, to clarify ... are you looking for the glasses or the metal frames? You said bezels, which would be the latter.0
-
The glass is what I need Park. The bezels seem to be fine,or for at least one time. ??. You know these are fragile pieces. Thanks CG0

Les.
What a way to fool a car theaf.
Fuel gauge. Starts reading empty with cold engine and reads 1/2 to 3/4 full when engine warms up.
Temp gauge. Reads Hot with full tank and cold with empty tank.
Probably drive a man crazy trying to fix the problems

The glass for SUPER or COMMODORE is also differant0
-
Hello cargray
Thank you. I didn't know that. I would like to know what the difference is between them. And is the PU different from both of them or the same as the Super 6? Also, are the Commodore 6 & 8 the same or different?
It was interesting to learn there was a difference between LHD and RHD on a earlier post.
Have a great day

If it would help, I have convex glass blanks that I could cut to a supplied pattern. The blanks are from the 50's!! Only cost would be for postage from New Zealand. PM me if you want to take this further.0

I think that '42 super/ commodore are different, but '46-7 super and comm.are the same as each other. Also in '42, as I know Cargray knows, the trim on a Super is the same as a Commodore. I have a '42 model 20 right now and the glass lens is different in it, but it has the narrow trim on the exterior ?. Alex would know the exact number, but the '42 models were only built for about 2 months.
Les, I did email you,did you get them?.0 -
No did not get them Doug, please send them to Huddy42 etc etc.
Shipped off the two speedo glasses yesterday one was RHD and the other was a LHD , when I looked at the glasses I remember a long time ago I scrapped a LHD , if my memory serves me, it may have been a commodore.
The commodore has extra striping on the glass, the supers are fairly plain.
Sorry I don't have any glove box , they are usually cracked by people closing the glove box.
1942 glasses are different to 46/70 -
This post brought up an old, not very good memory for me. Back in the late 70's I had a 47 PU that was very solid and only needed a few items, the main one being the dash glass. I was a member of the HET and the local chapter and wrote over 20 letters and talked to members at the HET meetings that said "yes" I have them.
Well, the short story-- I didn't receive one response from anyone willing to sell me the glass parts. Not long after that (about two years of searching) I decided to sell the PU and 46 coupe I had as I was just spinning my wheels trying to get parts for them.
Think goodness for the internet, and the ability to reproduce most anything in this day and age!0 -
Bill Albright had the 46-7 SUPER dash glass available for years in lucite plastic, and looked great. Might check with Jason Fisher to see if there are any left, or maybe he could get another run made up0
