Well I am new here, but my family has been involved with these cars as long as i have been alive and then some. My newest project is a long stored 33 T 8 with it's original paint and interior, mostly just trying to get it mechanically put back together. I thought i would intorduce myself and post a couple of pictures

Welcome to the forum, Mark - nice to see another Brintall getting active!!! Y'all have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year coming up.
What Mark didn't say about his family's involvement with these cars is the family connection goes back into the 1960's (and probably before) when his Dad, Al Brintnall, used to chase around New England in a 1919 Essex touring.

Well you are mostly right, my grandfather Al (my dad is Dale with the 34 Hudson) did go all over in his 20 Essex touring as well as his 23 Hudson touring(all of these cars are in the family still) and I have been building up a stash of cars and parts to build a 34 Hudson as soon as this one is done. It has been a long process but i started about 92 buying parts as I knew I wanted to build one. Been in the military for a long time (since 87) and multiple deployments have not been conducive to getting cars done.0 -
Ok test pic worked so here are some more.0 -
The last 3 pics were of the first time the motor has been back in the car in probably greater than 30 years. The other is of me trying to straiten out the rear fenders as they are a mess and i have had no luck finding others, they are rust free for the most part just really beat up. What you see here is a bunch of stripping, welding, shrinking, and hammer and dolly work later. The next pic is of one of the redone correct 16 inch wire wheels, new tires and redone hubcaps.0 -
These last 2 pics are the front and rear pans in primer ready to go after alot of work, not perfect but very nice, you can also see the replated bumpers next to the rear pan. Mark0

I, also, am glad to see another Brintnall in the Hudson fun. I knew your grandfather and I saw your father and uncle Tom this past meet season. Are you in New England or have you wandered away?
Geoff Blake0 -
Well I live on the other side of town technically, as that is where my house is from Tom and the homestead, however I am deployed with the Army to Ft Dix NJ. Better than Iraq or A'stan for sure but still does not allow for much garage time. What you see is almost a year worth of a couple of hours on weekends. So the short answer is no I have not wandered too far. Mark0

I hate to be the first to hit you up for parts but I am looking for some hubcaps like the one you show on your wheel. Do you have any extra?0
-
No sorry I have only what is on the car. One just went on ebay the other day for about 20.00. I don't have much if anything in the way of extras for 33 parts. most anything that I have is for 34-5. Mark0

here are a couple more pictures, fender shot, rear body shot etc0 -

Brownie,
I have one that needs platting. A couple of small dings, but not bad overall. I can send pics if you're interested.

Gene,
Yes, send me an Email at browniepetersen@readytek.net0 -
I too am glad to see another Brintnall. Welcome! Nice car, by the way.:)
Your pictures are coming out a little small. I don't know why.0 -
I think my pictures are small because i reduced them to make sure they would post, I am not sure of the size limits and res limits that are allowed. Mark0

Well after a long and drawn out period I finally have the car together with just a few details to sort out, mostly little things. The big news is that it is running and it sounds great, with alot of help from my uncle we were able to eliminate alot of potetial problems prior to intial start up and hear it run for the first time in over 60 years. Here is a picture of it at least in one piece after all the years it has sat.0

Damn Mark - you make me feel old telling me Dale's your dad and Al was your grandfather. I knew Al (and Beverly) for many years and it was always so great to see them at meets, especially the Nationals. It's not quite the same without them.
I've always said you know you're getting older when you realize the 2, 3 and 4 year olds playing around the cars at a meet are the kids of the 2, 3, and 4 year olds you used to watch playing around the cars.)

Hello and welcome! Nice looking ride! You will find the folks here most helpful. Enjoy the car!0

Mark,
It was nice meeting you at the national, I too am putting a T8 back on the road after almost 50 years. I'm looking forward to seeing updated pics of your car.
Matt Faust0 -
Walt sent you an email, iam interested0
-
Matt Still have a few minor issues to solve but it looks like the last picture, I need to take a few more. It was good to meet you as well and I would love to see some of your progress pics. I have learned a bunch working on this car as I went, if ever I can help email me at my screen name (change the IV to 4) at MSN. Mark0
-
Well had a short aborted maiden voyage in the 33 but radiator issues put me on the trailer. I think the problem is solved now so a redo will be coming soon but she ran well otherwise.0
