I had one Stepdown that had a locking cap on it. I also had a Stepdown with a locking gas door. The lock was built into the chrome door guard ,I've only seen one other like it,

Jason, Hudsons used the same cap as 41-48 Ford, Merc, and Lincoln Stant(Everseal) g-25 bright stainless or G-35 cad plated "big Ear" type. Find the locking models of these on Ebay or other sources. Sold one off a few years ago, because of the fear of the lock not working( ice) or key loss. IMO they are more potential grief than a security advantage. Ron0

I have the original locking gas cap and you must do one thing to keep it working. Once a month squirt oil into the key opening and it will never freeze or get stuck. Mine is on my car and I keep it locked at all times. Walt.0

Hudson had an electric release gas cap as an accessory.
I found one in a Hudson box and installed it on my
49 Commodore along with the other 28 Accesorys.
I also found 2 after market electric gas caps , probably the same manufacturer?
