Do any of you out there know of a good source for a combo fuse/relay block? i would prefer to get one with a max of 4 relays (std 85,86&30,87a)and maybe 6 fuse holders.Seems like I can not find one locally and really like one i can mount under the hood where you can see it ! Getting too old to walleraround under the dash with my feet over the back of the seat:lol:

    Check with hot rod and truck supply shops. Also emergency vehicle suppliers, such as www.soundoffsignal.com.

    Searching the INTERNET will provied a large number of automotive fuse and relay block sources that should suit your needs. A source I have used and can recommend is: Del City .
    Del City has all the pieces you will need to rewire your Hudson.



    If you would like an inexpensive alternative check out your local wrecking yard. Today you will find combination fuse/relay panels in cars and trucks. A small panel from a light truck or car can be easily adapted to underhood use in a Hudson.




    You will also find these panels available on eBay.

    where did you get the one in the upper picture, with 8 labeled terminals, I can't find that type at Delcity.

    Another suggestion- buy a copy of Street Rodder at the news stand. Thick magazine, has the most ads of any hot rod publication. There are several outfits that sell wiring kits- Ron Francis, E-Z Wiring, some others. They should have what you need.

    You can fish them out of junkyards all day long. They usually just pop right out. Late model cars have lots of circuits so may be more than you want but it would be the cheapest option, maybe, and possibly better made.

    Do they make a clear cover to allow a look at the parts with the cover on? Thanks, Bob P

    Does anyone know where I can get hold of the old fashioned 6V relays in metal casings ? They seem to have disappeared altogether here in the United Kingdom.

    I have found that the Volkswagon folks have plenty of 6 volt metal can relays. They are pricey, but available. Also try eBay, 6 volt metal can auctions are quite frequent.

    Bob, did you ever get an answer to this question? What's the point of getting this fuse box to put in the engine compartment if it doesn't have a cover?

    If memory serves me, a Nissan pick- up. Several panels were collected on a trip to a U-pull yard.
    I wanted small with removable cover and deep enough to mount square 12 volt relays. The box in the pictur originally had minature blade fuses and all the light current relays mounted. I stripped those out and mounted all my power relays. The fuse panel is fastened to the side of the box. Fuse panel was purchased from Del-City.

    Take a set of bolt cutters to the U-pick-it yard to chop off the wiring harness.
