Gearbox mounting rubber for 48 Hudson Super Six

A new member of the New Zealand HET Club is looking for a source for a new gearbox mounting rubber for his 48 Hudson Super Six. Where can I recommend he tries?

I was looking at Steele Rubber products stuff I believe and saw where they will put new rubber on your old steel.

KGap carried them but you might check with them before you order. I'm still waiting with no word...several months now.

Steering boxes are not mounted in rubber, they bolt directly to the frame. More info is needed on this item?? Walt.

He described it to me as about 4" rubber square with steel bonded top & bottom (various mounting holes) & seriously needing replacing.

Dave, these Americans cannot distinguish between a "gearbox" as we colonials call it, and a steering box. What we call a gearbox is a transmission to them. I can get a suitable alternative here for around $100. It is a generic type which can be modified to suit. I used one on Trevor's '37 T coupe.
