Rear Brake parts help

The Hudson Jet stands alone as far as brake parts applications. The brake shoe number is #51 for both front & rear. As far as I know, there are no new wheel cylinders currently manufactured for the Jet. Best thing to do is have the cylinders you have sleeved with stainless steel to original specs. The brake shoe size is 9" by 2". As far as I know, drums and backing plates from the larger Hudsons will not work on the Jet.

You might check on brake parts for Rambler sixes and Studebaker Champions/Larks 54 and newer. They used this same type of brake.0

I think you'll find that the Rambler & Studebaker did not use as large a rear wheel cylinder as Hudson did on the Jet.

Just looked at the Rock Auto cataloging for the Jet brake parts. Looks to me like they just repeated the same part numbers they use for the '50 thru '52 Pacemeker, and '53 & '54 Wasp. WRONG PARTS! ! ! These will not fit the Jet as it came from the factory!
