1950 Pacemaker - assstance please

I have just purchased a 1950 Pacemaker and looking through Alex's manuals cannot find a owners manual for the '50 Pacemaker. Does anyone have a pdf that will give a good quality copy?

Also, the car interior is in many boxes and will be like a jigsaw to put together. I was looking at the horn button assembly tonight, I assume there needs to be a spring in there so my question is, is the spring similar to the ones that fit behind window winders? There is a lighter version of one in one of the boxes and wondering if that is it or if not, what shape / size is the one I need?

This will be a medium term project (so totally different to the Essex I am used to) and no doubt I will have more queries as time goes by. I am fortunate to have Geoff Clark only a phone call away but thought it worth checking on this forum so he does not get too bombarded with calls!!:)

    Nice Pacemaker I've taken mine apart 4 times so I could probably answer most of your questions. I seem to remember there being a small spring behind the electrical lead at the end of the wire on the horn rather than there being a spring beneath the horn button itself. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but that being the case you would find no large spring under the button.

    Yes Roger, drivetrain, suspension and most paint all done. Mostly just interior work, electrical and some panel work to go.

    Here is a picture of the horn spring, installed on my '50C6. It is a flat piece of spring steel about 3" long and 1/2" wide. It hooks into each side of the steering wheel.

    Plans are to get together and back on the road to enjoy. Once on the road the extra finishing touches can be done as time and funds allow. At least it will be presentable from the outside to start with.

    I have a 1950 owners manual scanned - it just hasn't made it to the online library. It's a 2 meg file, so I can probably email it to you. The lube chart and electrical diagrams are missing but these can be found in the 1948-1952 service manual that is in the online library.
