The following is an email response I recieved from a person selling a 1954 Hudson Hornet with PS and PB. This car was recently advertised on Craigslist. I do not know the seller nor do I have any interest in the sale of the car or parts.

MSG recieved

I've enclosed the Hudson photos for you. The price for the complete car will be 1350.00 . It rolls and is trailerable. It is the only one I don’t have a title for as I bought it from a salvage yard. It originally came from Arizona. It has rust in the rocker areas. Thanks for the interest. Shawn. 218 780 9733

Best thing to do and probably only way to make some money would be to remove the power steering entirely and at least clean it up. Also reomove the power brake brackets and pedal assembly. Master cylinder and booster look fossilized.

Come on guys, ain't nothing there can't be covered over, or held together, with duck tape - WD-40 should get the immovable parts to move. Do like that fellow at the P'burg national did with his neat little roadster pickup - spray the whole car with WD-40 will slow the rust down.

Besides a trip to N. MN this time of year would be an adventure to relate at many Nationals in the future.

Who wants to go to Northern Minnesota in dead of winter to retrieve a '54 PS and PB setup???? ......If the hoses for the PS cylinder have been off for year while stored outdoors, then there could be corrosion pitting of the piston rod and the cylinder bore rendering the rebuild more expensive.

Stuff is still rare, owner would need to remove. Like I said, the cylinder and booster have fossilized. There is enough there to salvage. I could use the front fender spears. Owner should part out.
