'35 Hudson 8 Headlamps Wanted

StillOutThere
Expert Adviser
I would like to purchase a complete pair of '35 Hudson 8 headlamps. I am aware they were identical units on '35 Studebaker or Auburn. I bid the pair just completed on eBay but was not the winner. Any leads or suggestions?

WHY NOT CHECK THE STUDEBAKER FORUMS. ALSO CHECK WITH THE AUBURN GUYS. I didn't mean to yell. Sorry

You might want to try Don Axelrod... he specializes in ONLY headlamps. His phone number is 781-598-0523; email is hdlthqtrs@aol.com; Located in Lynn MA
Be warned: he can be a bit of an abrasive character!

I DID POST in the Stude and Auburn forums the same time I posted in this forum. Had a very nice Auburn fellow inform me that the eBay auction text was incorrect. That the Auburn lamp has a different mounting - is not the same. And the Studebaker lamp is different also. He sells the Auburn lamps restored - he gives the others away on the occasions he finds them.
I'm not too old to learn and did from the Auburn guy. I need '35 Hudson 8 lamps.0 -

35 H8 headlamps were available optionally as either black or chromed?0

Hi If those lights turn out to be from a 33T-8 I would be interested in them as my 33 has the wrong headlights, with that script on the lenses I would guess that they are 33 T-8. Supposedly the lights are the same as 33 Nash but they are in fact slightly larger with different rings but i think the lenses might be the same. Sorry to be off topic but I don't have any 35 lights or i would help this cause. Mark0

Depending on which model of '35 Hudson, the headlamps were either body color or they were chrome.0
