NOS Door Panel Value? 1949 Pacemaker Coupe

I have a door panel that I found in the back of one of my part cars. It apears to be NOS with a little surface rust, I know that it would fit a 1949 pacemaker two door drivers side as I held it up to the door. I have no use for it because I have a four door and I am trying to figure out how much to ask for it, any ideas?

First of all, there is no such thing as a 49 Pacemaker. Pacemakers were introduced into the stepdown era in 1950. Secondly, is it a door skin? or a complete door? A NOS complete coupe door should be worth $200 minimally. A door "skin" would be worth a bit less. The good thing is that the door would be applicable for '48-'53 step down coupes or 2-door sedans(broughams).
  • What do you mean , outer door skin ? Or complete door .

I guess I should have done some more research, the title that I had for the parts car said 49 pacemaker. It is an outer door skin, and it has no evidence of being spot welded that I can see so thats why I was leaning towards it being a NOS piece. Thanks for the help

Outer door skin - just that, nothing else.
Complete door - glass, door lock, gears to operate window - otherwise everything that makes up a complete door.

  • Very good ,A two door skin is of value to anyone restoring a 2 door stepdown.Coupe or Hollywood / Convertible.
They were all about the same as far as that panel went. I assume there are no holes for trim in it . Most factory panels like that you had to make holes for trim for the model it was being used on. I would hate to tell you what to sell it for but dont just give it away. If it was a complete new door - and it was the convertible /Hollywood style I dont doubt you could get $400-$500 for it.

    Its a hudson submarine......very, very, rare model.....hhaha
  • That is the one and only Hudson camper I have ever seen. Dont know what I'll ever do with it but had to save it from the salvage yard it was in. It is a 49 Commodore body with the front clip removed and the rear of another stepdown grafted on the front .The entire dash is gone right up to the windshield and a plain wrap around panel installed . An old guys unnfinished project ,lot of nice rust free parts. Even has a modified rear axle with no gears in it. The punkin is gone and just a blank metal plate is there.

I think you should put an engine in the back. Make it a car again, but with the body just like it is. :)
  • Well as I said it just needed to be saved . I would be open to offers if someone was interested.

I wish it were the passenger side....I'd be real interested. I might be interested anyway...send me a PM and maybe we can work something out.
