The #1 Exhaust valve is only lifting about half what it should on the 254 eight I'm rebuilding. Bummer!

Anybody got a good camshaft, or a good place to get it fixed?

Thanx

Larry, I think I gotr my re-ground from Bob Rivigno in NJ....
  • Remove the lifter before you do anything else, to see if the bottom is worn away. This is what the lifters do in a splasher engine. We have a company that makes new lifters, do not have them refaced as they drop so low you can not adjust the clearance. Walt.
  • Try Al Saffern in Ariz. He is in the WTN Bet he has a good cam and can supply reground lifters...I have never had a problem with adjusting reground lifters.

Larry, I may have a good cam. Let me know if you still need one.I'll check the casting number.
