Hemmings Essex Terraplane Article
I just got the latest issue of Hemmings and there is a nice article about the '32 Essex Terraplane. There is also a more extensive article about the '32 Chevy. NO CONTEST! The Hudson product was so much better than the GM contemporaryy that it actually IS funny! Also a nice photo of a '53 Hornet Club Coupe at a meet in the Northeast.

Don, Just curious, I have owned both and loved both.. I would not have gone with no contest. The "Baby" Cad was quite a car.....0

Ya got me!I was just going by a cursory comparison between the info set out in the two articles. I have never owned an early '30s Chevy and as such, am not really that qualified to comment. It's lucky that there are members of this forum that have experience beyond Hudson ownership. Every once in awhile, I need to be reminded to think before I speak...err, write. Thanks, Brownie!0 -
Not a problem Don, When I was younger (for the last 50 years or so) I was into chevys big time. 1932 Was by far the best design year for Chevrolet. Had you mentioned any other year (i.e. 1930 or 1931) I would have been right there with you. Funny thing is that today I have a few Hudson's and no Chevrolets. I guess that should say something?
I am rahter supprised that more of our fine Forum friends did not jump on board in support of the Essex? I am currently building a 1928 Essex Roadster Pick up resto-rod.0
