    Juergen:

I just received an e-mail from Brian Bazell, grandson of one of the previous owners of this car, Mr. Joseph Bazell, who died many years ago.

Unfortunately, neither Brian nor anyone in the family, knows much of the car's history. And sadly, his grandmother died very recently. She would have been able to give you the history of the car.

Brian says that your 1932 Hudson was his grandfather's favorite car of the more than 50 antique cars he owned over the years.

After the car was painted, Brian was re-installing the gasoline tank, when it slipped from his hands, hitting him in the forehead. He says he still bears the scar from that injury!

Brian says he is going to visit the gentleman who did a lot of work on your car when Joe Bazell owned it. Possibly that gentleman will recall some of the car's history. I'll post a message here, if I learn any more.

    ---Jon B.

Postscript -- I did send an e-mail to Mr. Putman at the address you mentioned, and it was not returned. So possibly your e-mail host has some sort of conflict with his e-mail host. Maybe you could ask a friend to send an e-mail to Mr. Putman (from a different e-mail host).
  • Jon B,
great, it is very exciting for me to discover a part of the curriculum of such an old and rare car, (I am teacher of law and history) thank you for your help. Perhaps we learn still more about it, with your and Brians help. Please say thank you to Brian in my name. In the title Joseph Bazell owned the car until 2007 then sold to Dorothy M. Sheridan.
I´ll try to email Mr. Putman from another PC

    Regards Juergen

    Hey Juergen,

really beautiful car, congratulations. It is nice to see another HET-Car in germany. There are a few, but it is very difficult to find them... Our Hudsons are a 52 Pacemaker and a 48 Commodore 8 (for Restauration). I hope you can solve all problems on your hudson and if you want to do a little hudson-talk in german, feel free an send a message...

    Greetings from Niederbayern

    Tom
