Looking for a Steering Wheel that looks like this!

Do you or someone you know have a steering wheel from a 40's (unknown year) Hudson that looks like the attached they'd be willing to sell or know where I could find one? They came in black too and black is my favorite as it is very slimming! 
At this point, I am looking for one in any condition. Thank you!
p.s. Is there a specific name or description for this type of wheel?

I have a 42 Super 6 that is almost copletly parted out but still has the wheel. I dont recall haw nice it is I can post a photo if you are interested

I went out and took a few photos of the wheel. It is cracking as seen in the pix but still in tact. I do have the Hudson puller for this wheel so should be able to remove it without more damage.

Oh Shoot! I'm so sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you so much for the pictures. It is a very neat wheel but not what I had in mind.
That is no fault of yours - I guess I'm now learning that there were different types of steering wheels for 42? :ohmy:
I am attaching some photos that I found online of what I'm looking for. One is from a 42 Hudson 6 station wagon, and another from a 42 Commodore 8 and also one from a 42 Brougham in Australia.
If I have misinformation, I really appreciate you setting me straight. Again, I apologize for being confused! :S

No thats quite allright ,I think that is the orighinal wheel on this 42. However with the number of years passed who knows. Things could have been moved around. I have a 47 Super 6 Brougham that has the wheel in your photo.It may not be correct and could be a Commodore item.
But then Hudson was also know to sell you what ever you wanted. I have heard you could buy a Super and have all the Commodore trim put on and get the same car for less. These two photos are of the 47 Brogham and a 47 Super 8 .So there is a bit of variety.
And by the way I cant sell the wheel on the 47 its a restored car. As a side note I saw one of those on Ebay yesterday bid up over $380.00

No kidding? Thanks for the history lesson. That's good as it opens up the window a little bit as far as year ranges go.
I was outbid on that ebay auction - someone with deeper pockets than me just bought exactly what I was looking for! Oh well, I will keep looking.

You know in theory there should be a lot of 42 wheels around. That was an aborted production year due to the war effort. And I would think when the 1946 cars came out a lot of left over 1942 items were used.
No one at a Hudson meet is going to fault you for the wheel type.

G'Day, I'm the guy who owns the '42 Brougham in Australia, the wheel on my car is correct for the 1942 Super Six series, the couple shown in the previous add are from 1947 Super Six & commodor, Ithink the last picture is the wheel you are after, the one with the large long button in the centre and the horn ring underneath.
I have seen on ebay a few times just the centre section of the wheel.0 -
I have the plastic cover for the steering wheel you are looking for that is in pretty good shape. If, when, you find a wheel if you need the plastic drop me a note.

I just looked up the original sales brochure, it states that is the correct wheel for 1942 Super Six AND Commodore, can be fitted to other models for a small extra charge.0 -

That has been my understanding (big '42 fan). And if there are a surplus of these lying around, I have yet to see it. I hoard '42 parts (my next car, mind you) and I am yet to find a complete '42 with the long center horn button. But hey, now that it has been brought up, I'm sure someone has a whole barn full of these somewhere . . . 0 -
