Probably going to need some pics of interior, trunk, engine compartment and underneath, plus a price, to get folks interested.

The picture is complete with a roll back sitting in front of it??. Kind of sez it might have some problems?. Still no pix? They were able to post these so why haven't they posted some of the items mentioned in this thresd.
  • How much? Price matters these days. My 401k's running a little on the thin side...slim
  • Kay is trying to sell this car for her Dad. She is not a Hudson expert. Her Dad wants 14K for the car but is willing to take offers. Kay had the car moved to her warehouse on flat bed for storage. It will need a complete service, oil change plugs etc. She sent me more pics I will post them here. keep in mind she is not up on engines, or getting under car so we will have to guide her in what is needed for a sale. Lets get this Hudson into someones hands who can appreciate it.
  • More pics. Do not have engine pics yet.

I'll stick my neck out here.

I have reservations about the carpet and seats being 1952, but I do know for sure that the door panels and front seat back, are spot on 1952, based on my pics of my 1951 cpe. As for what I see inside, usually the engine bay, isn't too far off, and with a little care and kind words, I bet you could drive this one home...Price is nice!! Just depends on the mileage. If I'm right about the door panels, then the car has been garaged all of it's life.
  • Yes the seats have covers on them. I asked for pics under them and for pics under the hood and underside of car. Will post when I get them.

This looks like the Hornet I've been waiting for. Sent you a PM.
  • Happy to report that Doug bought the Hornet so everyone give a high five to Doug and his new Hornet. :cheer:
  • Nice work, Sean. Your a regular Hudson/dreamer matchmaker!
I followed this with all the interest of wannabee stepdown owner dreamer, short of funds and garage space. Looks like all ended up happy. I'm looking forward to more pics and details from Doug. Congratulations...slim

Yes, I made the trip up to OH to check out this car and meet the owner and bought the Hornet. Previous owner had it for 25 years and has added some interesting non Hudson options that I think I will leave on it. One option is an air horn off a Cadelac complete with compressor and tank :woohoo: Also it's set up to start on 12 volts and run on 6 volts, never saw that before. It's a solid car with nice original interior and motor and an older but still nice paint job. Car has 62K miles on the odometer. The 90 year young gentleman was a joy to talk to and really knows his Hudsons and was a mechanic/garage owner as a career. He said at one time he had 18 Hudsons. For me I really enjoy the story behind the car and this one was great.

We will want more pics for sure. Glad for you! I was tempted too but I have a point of honnor to wait my turn when somebody is already on a deal. And a great thank to Sean for letting us know about it. Michel.
  • Doug:
Check our 47 Commodore when you come to see us, cranks on 12 and runs on 6. Hope ya'll enjoy the car, hope to see it soon. Thanks, Bob
