Rocker panels for step Downs
I have an experienced person, here in Florida that says he can make fiberglass repops of our rocker panels. I am willing to purchase A pair of long wheelbase rockers 48-53 to give him a chance to make it a reality. Who has a pair to sell at a reasonable price? yes:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I am going out on a limb..

If i'm not mistaken... I believe Hudzilla is working on getting 'glass rockers made as well. I am unsure of the status of that though.
The more the merrier!0 -
Yep. They look really nice. The prototypes are just about ready. They will available in coupe or sedan version. LWB only. 48-53.0

A note of support... the fiberglass rockers on my 54 Wasp Club Sedan are 30+ year old replacements originally produced by Rich Venza. They have stood up to the ravages of time, very hot temperatures found in Texas and are as solid as when new. Thanks, Lance, for making these pieces available for Hudson Stepdowns.0 -
GREAT ! Will save me a lot of trouble! I sure wouldn't want to steal any of Lance's Thunder.. So .... How Much? I have a street rodder friend looking for a tudor set.:woohoo:0

OK, well here's the deal. I anticipate that the price will not be cheap due to the entire cost of producing dies and molds. I am ESTIMATING the cost to be around $700 per pair. Please don't hold me to that as it is a guess.. I really wish I could have gotten them cheaper but thats how it goes. The tooling was not cheap. In all reality I may never see the cost of that tooling recovered. I thought however it's part that is desperately needed to keep old stepdowns under consideration for restoration. The last outfit that reproduced rockers for stepdowns isn't around anymore and what they did produce was margional at best. From the pictures I have seen the preliminary parts look great. Anyway These rockers should be available this Spring.:)0

Larry, SWB rockers aren't likely due to the cost involved with the molds and the lower demand . LBW rockers could be cut and modified as a possibility.0

Hudzilla,
Cómo mucho dinero? Wie viel sind die Kosten?0 -
If you would rather have the real thing, Stu Coleman, in Montana recently acquired a big inventory of stuff and it includes many rocker panels. His email is: "atascoleman@wispwest.net" or telephone: (406)333-4964.0
