radio mounting bracket needed
Does anyone have a '53 Hornet radio bracket for sale? My parts book shows this as BO 228837. I thought I would ask on this forum before trying to fabricate one. The radio is the version with screw sockets built into the chassis (one on the left, two on the right). Currently, two of the three screws are not attached at all and the third is poorly anchored with a crude piece of sheet metal. Trying to get rid of a annoying rattle. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all HET members and their families! ArtS.

I have the two brackets that held the radio in a 54 Hornet. Are they the same? The dash is similar in the center section. If you can use them, you are welcome..just pay the postage.

Just checked the parts book and the 54's are different. They use two brackets with different numbers..drat..0

Hi Dave:
Thanks for the generous offer. I, too, checked the '54 parts book and its looks to be a different radio setup. Maybe after the holidays, a bracket from a '53 parts car will become available from another Hudnut Santa. Best wishes! ArtS0
