Voltage regulator and generator wiring????

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1946 hudson voltage regulator. It seems as though the one I have may not be wired correctly. I ordered a new one and want to make sure I am wiring it back correctly.

    Your two posts are a little confusing. Are you dealing with an original generator or a modern alternator?

    Wiring is basic - B terminal on regulator connects to voltage from battery, "A" terminal to "A" terminal on Generator (the larger post usually), and F terminal to F on generator. There is usually a ground wire as well from the voltage regulator base to a screw on the generator body.
