fluids question
Hi All, I was wondering what all fluids you guys put in your HET products. Not including the beers in the cooler for sitting around at meets and tire kicking
What weights of oil and stuff like that that might have been suggested to use by the dealers and factory just popped in my head a couple days ago and won't leave me alone! Hudsonly,Lisa G.

I've used Mercon/DextronII for Hydramatic fluid without any problems. I use standard 10-40w multiviscosity oil. Just my 2cents worth.0

I'm sure everyone has their favorite. I've been using Shell Rotella 15W40 since they
took all the zinc out of (automotive)oils. No need for zinc with all the new roller
camshafts or some such BS... Diesel oils still have it tho...0 -

Rotella and any diesel eng. oil will pro-long the life of any engine. ( i use caterpillar 15w40 ) The zinc additive keeps camshaft and piston skirts from scuffing. The hydra-matic gets Caterpillar 10w POWER-TRAIN OIL. used it for many years with heavy drag racing. ( most of the Big Pro Stocks and Dirt track racers use it ) Torque converter STALL SPEEDS are more stable as the oil will run cooler,0
