I have a question about the knob on the light switch on my 1956 Hollywood.

There is no set screw, how do you get the knob off ?

I'm not a Hash guy. Hope I'm not stealing your thunder Paul... LOL.....but.. I bet it's a more modern one than the stepdowns.. If you reach up inder the dash and feel the switch body.. somewhere around the middle of the switch you will find a small "button" that you can push in. At the same time you push in the button, pull out on the switch knob. The shaft should come out of the switch leaving the nut exposed to remove the switch body. The shaft has a notch in it that holds it in. When you push the little spring loaded button. it releases it. Good luck.. You may have to be pretty ambidextrous to do all that at once!
