1932 pikes peak car
Can anyone tell me about the 1932 pike's peak win by essex terraplane. I've searched google to no end to try and find out what body style won the race. I met someone a few years back and they told me it was a roadster that won the race and it was a one of car. Can anyone confirm this? I believe the drivers name was Chet Miller.

that is what is shown in photos taken of the car a roadster; I had one & sold it to Dave M. who has restored it, they are exceptionally rare as the '32 E-T only built the last 1/2 of '320

According to Don Butler's book The History of Hudson the car was a Special Roadster model with a rumble seat. There is a picture of this car there on page 153. Time was 21 min 21 sec.0
