Can anyone tell me about the 1932 pike's peak win by essex terraplane. I've searched google to no end to try and find out what body style won the race. I met someone a few years back and they told me it was a roadster that won the race and it was a one of car. Can anyone confirm this? I believe the drivers name was Chet Miller.

that is what is shown in photos taken of the car a roadster; I had one & sold it to Dave M. who has restored it, they are exceptionally rare as the '32 E-T only built the last 1/2 of '32

According to Don Butler's book The History of Hudson the car was a Special Roadster model with a rumble seat. There is a picture of this car there on page 153. Time was 21 min 21 sec.
